I am still slogging away at the same green cabled blanket. I’m hoping another week or so of devoted effort will get this sucker done.
Blanket knitting is poor blog fodder. I think I’m the only person who can tell that it’s any bigger after working on it for a week.
Meanwhile, my delightful bf and I went to the annual butterfly show at the Krohn Conservatory. The conservatory is one of my favorite places in Cincinnati at any time of year, but I’ve never been to the butterfly show because of the crowds and costs, and quite frankly I wasn’t sure how exciting a bunch of bugs would really be.
We actually really enjoyed it, and it was a lot cheaper than I thought – only $5 after a coupon we picked up at a UDF. It was warm, so the butterflies were active and hard to photograph, but I got a few pics:
I think my favorite butterfly variety was this one, it looks positively wicked:
We saw the rest of the conservatory as well. I have been thoroughly spoiled by the Singapore National Orchid Garden (and simply living in the tropics), but I can still enjoy the orchid room here in Cincinnati, which is much the same as it was when my mother first took me there twenty years ago.
